Dans une "Lettre du Cercle" spirituel qu'animait le Père Sevin (7 juillet 1936), on trouve en note de l'article "Le scoutisme est-il ou a-t-il une spiritualité ?"
"(...) la « 5ème fin » du scoutisme : recherche de Dieu. Je n’ai pas souvenir qu’elle figure, du moins telle quelle et sous cette rubrique, dans aucun texte de BP Voir la préface de Scouting for boys (Character, Healthn Handicraft, Service) Il semble qu’il faille attribuer cet apport du scoutisme catholique, d’ailleurs conforme à la pensée foncière du fondateur, à la cheftaine Louise Nourissat (depuis Madame Pierre Bray) lors d’un cours de Chamarande où elle fut assistante en 1930-1931."
